(hennemusic) The David Bowie classic, "Space Oddity," has been covered in space by Commander Chris Hadfield aboard the International Space Station.

Hadfield posted a video of the song on Sunday, his last full day in orbit after five months serving as the first Canadian to command the station.

For his part, Bowie took notice of the clip, tweeting "Hallo Spaceboy" after Hadfield posted his note about the video; the reply refers to the title of a 1995 song by Bowie (from "Outside") that revisits Major Tom, the title character in "Space Oddity."

While posting the space video, Hadfield thanked Canadian musician Emm Gryner, his son Evan Hadfield, music producer Joe Corcoran, and TV producer Andrew Tidby "for all their hard work." Check out the video here.
