Tim McGraw Gives Charlotte Fans Five Encores
. The two-hour show took place at Charlotte's Verizon Amphitheater in front of more than 17,000 fans. McGraw's set list featured 25 songs, five of which were encores. He led with "Where the Green Grass Grows" from his 1998 album Everywhere. But the concert as a whole turned out to be a perfect blend of classic and new material from 1990s songs such as "All I Want Is A Life," to newly released hits from Two Lanes of Freedom that included "Highway Don't Care" and "Truck Yeah." "Any time you record songs or perform live," McGraw told Radio.com in a recent interview, "you have to be willing to give up a piece of your soul with it. And I think that's how fans respond to it. You're not just phoning it in. You're giving them something." And the fans did indeed respond. Throughout the night, McGraw playfully told the crowd "Don't stop!" as they cheered loudly after each song. more on this story Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
