Slimmed-Down Beyonce Sketch Causes Controversy
. Once the drawing hit the web, Cavalli found himself under fire for his changes to Beyonc's figure and the brand quickly released a statement. "We would like to clarify that the image of the gown created by Roberto Cavalli for Beyonc is a sketch and not a photo, and therefore it is only meant to be a stylised and artistic vision," he said. "Roberto Cavalli loves women and more than anyone else has always exalted and highlighted the female shape with his creations, building his signature style on the glorification of sensuality and femininity." This isn't the first time Beyonc and her fans have expressed outrage over a misrepresented image. Earlier this year, Beyonc was angered when H&M decided to Photoshop images of her for their summer campaign. H&M later retracted the photos after her team refused to accept the changes made to the campaign. H&M later issued a statement, which reads as follows: "Beyonc was our first choice for this campaign and we were delighted when she said yes. Our purpose has always been to portray Beyonc as the strong and beautiful woman she is. It has been a good working process and a close cooperation. Both parties are happy with the images."
