Mustaine Endorses Newsted's Metallica Jam Idea For Gigantour
. Megadeth will hit the road with Newsted's self-titled solo band as part of Gigantour 2013 in the US next month. The bassist recently said he'd be up for jamming a track by the band they were both previously part of. Mustaine was fired in 1983 and Newsted, who joined in 1986, quit in 2001. Now the Megadeth mainman tells Grammy.com: "There's a really cool new relationship between the two of us. I saw he said something about us playing a song together and I thought, 'Wow, that's pretty interesting. It's doable, and I think it would be fun.'" But he underlines that no agreement has been reached, particularly since has hasn't discussed it with Megadeth bassist David Ellefson. "I'm not ruling anything in or out, because I've still got to talk with David. I want to make sure Dave and Jason talk and figure out how they're going to do it if we play together." more on this story Classic Rock Magazine is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
