Metallica Black Album Concert Not Going Down Under

. (hennemusic) Metallica will not be performing their 1991 Black album at Australia's Soundwave festival, after all.

Festival boss AJ Maddah confirmed the news via Twitter over the weekend, according to MusicFeeds.com.au.

"Not a rumour. They're not doing Black album," he tweeted, in response to a fan inquiry.

Fans got into a flurry about the possibility of Black Album shows last month after it was revealed that Metallica were bringing a 'snakepit' style barrier/catwalk system for their performances. more on this story
