. The case involves Twitter, specifically tweets that Love wrote in June of 2010 where she accused Holmes of being "bought off." "I was f***ing devestated when Rhonda J Holmes esq of San Diego was bought off. I've been hiring and firing lawyers to help me with this," Love tweeted from her account. Holmes and her law firm sued Love for libel, but Love's lawyers argue that hyperbole and sensational language is standard for social media that things written on Twitter shouldn't be held to the same standard as other information. Holmes' reps argued that character assassination is character assassination, however it is transmitted.
