Axel Rudi Pell Says Dio Still Pushes Him To Write Music
. The German guitar virtuoso believes the late singer's presence is strong on 15th album Into The Storm, which features former Rainbow and Black Sabbath drummer Bobby Rondinelli. Pell says: "There hasn't been one day of my life when I haven't been pushed by Ronnie's spirit to write something mystical." There may have been something of Dio in the way Rondinelli was brought in after the amicable departure of long-term sticksman Mike Terrana. "Bobby hard heard a lot about me," says Pell. "He fell in love with the songs head over heels.
