Fast and Furious Star Paul Walker Killed In Car Crash
. Walker was the passenger in a Porsche GT that crashed and exploded during a test drive at a Philippines typhoon relief benefit event in the Los Angeles suburb. He was 40 years old and is survived by his 15-year-old daughter Meadow. Walker's Facebook page was updated with the following message shortly after the accident, "It is with a truly heavy heart that we must confirm that Paul Walker passed away today in a tragic car accident while attending a charity event for his organization Reach Out Worldwide. "He was a passenger in a friend's car, in which both lost their lives. We appreciate your patience as we too are stunned and saddened beyond belief by this news. Thank you for keeping his family and friends in your prayers during this very difficult time. We will do our best to keep you apprised on where to send condolences." Walker's Fast and Furious co-star Vin Diesel posted a photo of himself and Walker on Instagram along with the caption, "Brother I will miss you very much. I am absolutely speechless. Heaven has gained a new Angel. Rest in Peace." Tyrese Gibson, who worked with Walker on the film series, visited the site of the accident and wrote this tribute, "My heart is hurting so bad no one can make me believe this is real Father God I pray that you send clarity over this cause I just don't understand My heart hurts it's broken no one can convince me that this is real....," he wrote. "Prayer warriors please pray real hard for his only child, his daughter and family. #HeartOfAnAngel13YrsFamilyForeverWeJustCelebreatedYour40thBirthday. My God... My God... I can't believe I'm writing this." Ludacris had this to say, "Your humble spirit was felt from the start, wherever you blessed your presence you always left a mark, we were like brothers & our birthdays are only 1 day apart, now You will forever hold a place in all of our hearts @paulwalker legacy will live on forever. R.I.P." Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson posted the following on Twitter, "All my strength, love & faith to the Walker family during this heartbreaking time. We find our strength.. in his light. Love you brother." James Wan, the director of Fast and Furious 7, which is currently in production wrote on Twitter, "I am so beyond heartbroken right now. I can't process anything." The studio behind the movie franchise, Universal Pictures, said the following in a statement, "Paul was truly one of the most beloved and respected members of our studio family for 14 years, and this loss is devastating to us, to everyone involved with the Fast And Furious films, and to countless fans," the studio said in the statement.
