(popmusiclife) Alanis Morissette filled in for Green Day with a performance on Jimmy Kimmel's show Wednesday night.

Green Day have shut down live appearances and promotions for their newly-released album, "Uno," after singer Billie Joe Armstrong entered rehab following his on stage meltdown in Las Vegas last Friday night.

Alanis performed her current single, "Guardian," as well as a cover of Green Day's "Basket Case," which she finished by saying "We love you, Billie Joe." Watch it here.
