Van Halen Frontman David Lee Roth Reflects On Sarcasm and Tattoos
. Eddie's health issue, which flared up following the end of the first leg of the band's "A Different Kind Of Truth" tour, caused the postponement and eventual cancellation of a series of Van Halen concert dates across North America this summer, and the postponement of a series of dates in Japan that were scheduled for November. While bassist Wolfgang Van Halen is on the road with Tremonti, frontman David Lee Roth has been keeping himself busy with martial arts training and, the continuation of his series of videos under the title "The Roth Show." The latest clip, entitled "Sarcasm/Tattoos," features Roth delivering a rambling monologue on both subjects. "Trying to explain American humor to people from outside the United States is an art in itself," explains Roth. "Particularly in Japan, where the idea of sarcasm is completely alien."
