David Bowie Guitarist Escapes Burning Car

. (Gibson) Guitarist Earl Slick, best known for his work with David Bowie and John Lennon, was riding in a car that burst into flames this past weekend.

The guitarist had been performing earlier at a "British Invasion" show at Just Jake's in Montclair, New Jersey.

According to NorthJersey.com, Slick (whose real name is Frank Madeloni) was travelling in a Ford Cobra on Saturday, May 19, when the engine burst into flames. more on this story
