(hennemusic) Guns N' Roses' "Appetite For Destruction" is marking its 25th anniversary this year. The record that put GNR on the global stage has reportedly accumulated worldwide sales in excess of 30 million since its 1987 release, including 18 million in the US alone.

Former GNR axeman Slash was asked about the creation of "Appetite" in a new interview with Fuse TV.

"'Welcome To The Jungle' was one of the first Guns N Roses' collaborative songs that we ever wrote together," says Slash. "It was definitely one of the first songs we made a demo of. When it came time to put the album together, as far as sequencing was concerned, I think it was a given that 'Welcome To The Jungle' was going to be the flagship song for the record."
