Castle Star Jon Huertas Releases New Single
. Many Castle fans may be surprised to learn Jon spends much of his free time creating and performing music. He's traveled the world singing in large auditoriums, small and sexy jazz clubs, even appearing in "The Wiz". It all stems from his first featured singing solo, at the ripe age of six, at his catholic school's 2nd grade Christmas show. Recently Jon has collaborated with Grammy nominated songwriter/producer Christian "Davis" Stalnecker and together they've produced Jon's new album "Grown and Sexy". Jon describes his genre as Urban Pop and believes that his acting background has helped him immensely as a singer. "We write these songs so that they tell a clear story. That's what I love about Christian, he gets it. It's about story telling, just like in TV and film, and I know how to do that." Throughout the album, He and Christian have created undulating peaks and valleys within the genre effortlessly shifting between club dance tracks and classic R&B pop. Jon is looking forward to doing spot dates to promote the album across the country starting in January 2013, and then expand to a multi-city tour during "Castle's" shooting hiatus starting in April 2013. Jon will also have a chance to showcase his skills as a dancer during these performances. However, fans of Jon can still catch him on every week on "Castle", Mondays on ABC.
