Styx Taking The Grand Illusion/Pieces Of Eight to Las Vegas

. Styx are in the middle of their 2012/2013 touring cycle and have announced that they will be playing two special shows in Las Vegas in November.

The Las Vegas shows will take place at The Pearl at Palms Casino Resort on Friday, November 16 and Saturday, November 17 and will feature the band playing their 1977's The Grand Illusion and 1978's Pieces Of Eight in their entirety, along with other classic hits. This will mark the first time the band will play these special full album shows west of the Mississippi.

Both albums spawned such hit singles and Classic Rock radio standards as "Come Sail Away," "Renegade," "Blue Collar Man" and "Fooling Yourself (The Angry Young Man)."

Back when "The Grand Illusion/Pieces Of Eight" tour originally took place October and November 2010, singer/guitarist Tommy Shaw had proclaimed: "This is the most unique STYX concert ever. It's a hybrid experience of enjoying the artistry of the vinyl album and the energy and of our live performance. Some songs have never been performed live!"
