Jack White To Score Disney's The Lone Ranger
. Bruckheimer said the idea to recruit White came from actor Johnny Depp and film director Gore Verbinski. "Gore hatched the idea and Johnny was thrilled with it," Bruckheimer said. "We're all very excited to have [White] on board." White has never scored an entire film, but he did write a song for the 2008 James Bond movie, Quantum of Solace, and performed a track for 2007's Cold Mountain. Starring Depp and Armie Hammer, The Lone Ranger is currently being filmed in New Mexico.
