Florence and The Machine For MTV Unplugged

The episode, which features a 10-song set, will premiere on Sunday, April 8th beginning at 11:00PM ET via MTV's websites in the US, Europe, Latin America, Asia and Africa at Universal Republic Records will release the "Florence + the Machine MTV Unplugged" album across digital retailers simultaneously with the online premiere, and in stores on Tuesday, April 10th. Filmed at the historic Angel Orensanz Foundation for Contemporary Art, a former gothic revival synagogue in New York's lower east side dating back to 1849, the "Unplugged" performance features Florence Welch's signature powerful vocals with selections spanning her debut album "Lungs" and sophomore set, "Ceremonials, " including "Dogs Days Are Over," "Shake It Out," "What The Water Gave Me," "No Light, No Light," " Drumming Song," "Only if For a Night," and "Breaking Down". The 10-song-set also includes a stirring cover of Otis Redding's "Try a Little Tenderness," as well as a special appearance from Josh Homme (Queens of the Stone Age) who duets on a cover of the Johnny Cash/June Carter classic "Jackson." "MTV Unplugged was a truly amazing experience for me, such an honor to perform in such a beautiful place," said Florence Welch.
