Metalheads Vs New Zealand Music Awards
. The Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards will stage its 46th annual event in November. But while there are categories for hip-hop, roots, alternative, electronic and Christian music, there's no recognition for metal. Music manager Sarah Sampson tells 3news: "I've volunteered at the music awards the last two years and I'm pretty much one of the only metalheads there. "I've met so many people, like record label people, TV presenters, newspaper reporters, all that. It's such an awesome experience and it's a real shame that metal bands miss out on all that." more on this story RockNewsDesk.com is an official news provider for the Day in Rock.
