. Dave Grohl made a name for himself beating the skins for Nirvana, and still occasionally plays in the Foo Fighters' off cycles � most recently for Them Crooked Vultures. Though Dave fronts one of the world's biggest rock bands, he is still well respected (and rightfully so) as a rock drummer. So when the Kentucky alt-rockers Cage the Elephant found their drummer Jared Champion hospitalized for appendix issues just hours before the show, Dave volunteered his services so they could still open for his band.
