The Dear Hunter Announce Tour With Circa Survive's Anthony Green
. Kicking off in January, the 5-week tour in support of The Color Spectrum follows the band's current run with Manchester Orchestra. The 9-EP project The Color Spectrum claimed two separate spots on Billboard's "Heatseekers" chart upon its debut, with the complete collection reaching an impressive #9, and the 11-song CD version (featuring select music from each EP) debuting at #32. The limited edition vinyl box set sold out shortly after release, prompting the recent issue of a 3-disc CD box set. The Color Spectrum consists of 36 songs inspired by the colors of the spectrum, specifically Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo and Violet, with White and Black included as bookends. It was written and recorded as frontman Casey Crescenzo traveled across the U.S., documenting every step of the process as he worked with several producers and musicians along the way. Included within that group is Manchester Orchestra, Brendan Brown from The Receiving End of Sirens, Mike Watts (who has worked with As Tall As Lions and he mixed the band's Act III: Life And Death), and Steve Haigler (Brand New, As Tall As Lions, Quicksand). A DVD featuring over two hours of footage from this period is now available as part of the CD Box Set. The Color Spectrum is available in the following formats:
