(Gibson) London-Irish folk-punks The Pogues will celebrate St. Patrick's Day this week with a farewell show in New York. Their current U.S. tour will be their last.

The Daily Express reports that last year singer and writer Shane MacGowan said they would soon quit touring after tiring of life on the road. Pogues founding member Spider Stacy also said recently that, "as touring in the future, we won't be coming to America, certainly not for what we would call a long tour like this one."

This week the band will play a three-night residency that they are calling A Parting Shot at Terminal 5 in Manhattan, with the final show set, appropriately, for Thursday (March 17), St Patrick's Day. more on this story
