Eric Clapton Auction A Huge Success

. (hennemusic) Many Eric Clapton fans and collectors left the guitar icon's Bonhams auction in New York on Wednesday very happy.

More than 150 lots from Clapton's personal collection, including over 70 guitars and 70 amps which have helped create Clapton's legendary sound, were made available at an auction by Bonhams to benefit The Crossroads Centre.

CNN reports Wednesday's auction raised $1.77 million for the drug treatment center in Antigua that Clapton founded in 1998. more on this story
