Velvet Revolver Still On Hold?

. Despite comments from Velvet Revolver members about auditioning new singers and moving forward with the band and recent rumors that they have in fact found their man, Duff McKagan is telling quite a different story about the group's immediate future.

In a recent interview with Total Rock, McKagan addressed rumors that Slipknot's Corey Taylor is joining the group but he also dropped the bomb that VR isn't their highest priority at the moment:

"[Corey's] the brightest and best singer of a generation and I think he's killer. But I don't think Velvet Revolver is� There's not much urgency there to do much of anything right now, so� one day, hopefully. And I think [Velvet Revolver guitarist] Slash is probably gonna go make another [solo] record [next], so that's cool. That's what it is." Blabbermouth has more here
