(rock nyc) Disney Pearl Records will release 'In the Key of Disney' featuring Beach Boys legend Brian Wilson's covers of songs from movies like Toy Story 3, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Dumbo, The Lion King, The Jungle Book, Pocahontas, The Little Mermaid, Mary Poppins, Pinocchio on October 25th.

'The Beach Boys sound and the Disney people make a fantastic collaboration,' said Brian Wilson, 'I tried to do justice to all their songs.'

According to the Guardian, Wilson said 'he tried to bring the songs' original composers "to the fore", making an instrumental medley out of songs from Snow White and pumping Dumbo's 'Baby Mine' full of vocal harmonies. 'I Just Can't Wait to Be King', from the Lion King, is now a Bo Diddley rock number.' more on this story
