. (Rock AAA) Festival organisers at High Voltage shot themselves in the foot when they teased their audience with the announcement of the final act on the bill at the event to be held in Victoria Park, London on 23/24 July

The remaining special guest slot, just below headliners Judas Priest, was due to be announced at 09.00 GMT today (Tuesday April 12) on their official website.

But eagle eyed fans spotted an advertisement in The Metro, London's free newspaper, that Slash had been confirmed for the slot and began posting on the festivals Facebook page a couple of hours earlier than the official unveiling.
