Guns N' Roses Plan Next Album As Guitarist Plans Surgery

. (Gibson) Guns N' Roses guitarist DJ Ashba logged onto Facebook on Thursday to update fans about his bum knee, announcing an impending surgery. He also posted a photo of himself on Twitter, wearing a hospital gown and receiving an MRI.

"MRI Update: I have a 9mm tear in my knee, so I'm off to the surgeons, not getting surgery on my knee today but, setting up the surgery date," wrote Ashba. "Fun fun!" Ashba, who replaced former Guns N' Roses guitarist Robin Finck in 2009, tore a ligament in his knee.

In a recent interview with Artisan News Service, Ashba addressed the forthcoming Guns N' Roses album, saying, "[The band is] talking about that right now. We've been throwing around a bunch of ideas, and it should be good, man. We've got a lot of good stuff on the plate coming out. It won't take as long [as Chinese Democracy], I promise." more on this story
