Tiger Army To Give Fans A Special Treat on Halloween
. While the band did an "Early Years" set during 2008's inaugural Octoberflame event, this will be the first time Tiger Army has performed any album sequentially. This coming summer marks the tenth anniversary of Moonlite's release. It remains one of the most popular and beloved albums in the band's catalog. "We did the 'Early Years' set at the first Octoberflame and the debut of my solo project at the second Octoberflame last year," frontman Nick 13 says. "We wanted to keep the tradition going by doing something that even the band's most avid followers haven't seen from us before. That's one of the things Octoberflame is about and there's no better time to do it than Halloween night." As Nick 13 has been busy preparing his debut solo album (a record in the Americana / alt-country vein) for a 2011 release, the two Octoberflame shows in Anaheim will be the only Tiger Army shows in 2010 anywhere in the world. Only Night 2 (Halloween Night) will feature the Power of Moonlite performance. "Night 1 [October 30th] will be more of a traditional Tiger Army set, with some Octoberflame rarities and surprises thrown in, of course," 13 elaborates. "Night 2, on Halloween, will be a first for us. I wouldn't miss it. It may not happen again." Tiger Army's Octoberflame has proven to be a "must" event for fans of the Southern California band, whose four full-length albums and other releases have cemented their position amongst fans of psychobilly, rockabilly, punk, alternative, rock n' roll and a variety of other genres. Fans travel from all over the world from places as far away as Europe, Australia and Asia to attend Octoberflame. Their fandom is intense, as evidenced by the number of Tiger Army tattoos. Octoberflame III will take place at the Grove of Anaheim in Anaheim, California on Saturday, October 30 and Sunday, October 31, 2010. Jack Grisham (of TSOL) & The West Coast Dukes, along with Throw Rag, will support Tiger Army on Night 1 (Saturday). Mad Sin and Hillbilly Casino will support Tiger Army on Night 2.
