The Roots Dare 2 Dream
. "We are honored and excited to be performing at Dare 2 Dream," said The Roots band members, "It's causes like this that inspire the fabric of our work. We couldn't be happier to help raise awareness & funding to support education in Chicago." The People's Music School was started 34 years ago by Dr. Rita Simo with only $625, a donated piano and a dream to make the world a better place. Today the non-profit school serves over 500 students in its Chicago Uptown facility and in various outreach initiatives within the Chicago Public School System. "Bettering music education in Chicago is a cause that we're incredibly passionate about," said Jeff Sodikoff, President of Platform One Entertainment and Dare 2 Dream. " We're excited that The Roots have jumped on board to support this powerful vehicle for transforming lives." Click here to read today's full Day in Pop report Preview and Purchase Roots CDs |
