Tony MacAlpine Reemerges With Seven The Hardway
. Featuring virtuoso drummer Virgil Donati (Planet X, Steve Vai) and vocalist Mark Boals (Yngwie Malmsteen's Rising Force), the album combines elements of hard rock, heavy metal and progressive rock with modern production. The band also includes bass player Doug Shreeve from Planet X, and second guitarist Estafania Daniel, a student of MacAlpine's. Seven The Hardway's planned September/October European tour was cancelled earlier this month. "Due to the delayed release of the album (August instead of April) and the booking of the tour immediately following European summer vacation, there has not been adequate opportunity to properly promote the record or the tour," the band said in a statement. "We plan to re-book in the future, once the new album has had a chance to be heard by our fans." - more on this story
