Sodom Headlining Noctis IV Metal Fest and Conference
. The festival is taking place over two days at the University of Calgary's MacEwan Hall Ballroom. Headlining the event, are German thrash gods, Sodom in a rare North American appearance. Sub headliners include grinders Rotten Sound from Finland, and legendary death metallers Incantation (USA). Making a first Canadian appearance will be the pagan/war metal act Metsatoll from Estonia, and giving folk metal fans something to rejoice will be Swedish folk metal band, from the Czech Republic; and brutal death/war metal act Manegarm. Lending the festival an evil twist will be the up and coming black rock occultists The Devil'sblood from the Netherlands; reclusive black metallers Rootmartial Barrage from Manitoba. Completing the international line-up are Midnight, speed metal hellions from the USA. Other Canadian acts on the bill include tech/prog metal act Divinity, from Calgary, whose recent release The Singularity has met with outstanding international reviews, and Striker, a speed metal act from Edmonton, recently recruited for the 2011 Headbangers Open Air Festival in Germany. Also appearing from Calgary are death/thrashers Mark Of Cain, prog/power act Viathyn, and new death/doomers, Ominosity, all with recent CD releases. Preview and Purchase Sodom CDs |
