Spiritual Beggars Return To Zero
. The album is set for release on October 12th in North American via InsideOut Music (and is out now in the UK/Europe). New singer Apollo Papathanasio states: "I was completely inspired by doing the recordings for the new Spiritual Beggars album. Working with Richard Bengtsson (co-producer/mixer) and Michael Amott while recording was fun and super creative! We were all on the same page and we had a good flow in the studio and I'm more than pleased with the end result! There were no arguments, we worked effectively - and we laughed a lot. Michael and I share the same kind of humor and that was awesome. "I always liked Spiritual Beggars, but as I'm listening to the catalogue more carefully, I understand more what fantastic songs and arrangements they have on their past albums. I'm proud to be a part of this band and the new album. "The biggest difference between Spiritual Beggars and other bands that I've played with is that this band gives me the opportunity to use a more bluesy vocal approach. 'Return To Zero' has that instant feeling of the 70's that I love, lots of groove and the cool improvised stuff that we did in the studio. To me, it's perfect. Looking forward to come out and play live with the guys!" Preview and Purchase Spiritual Beggars CDs Spiritual Beggars MP3 Downloads |
