. (Gibson) Even though AC/DC haven't released any new music in the past year, the rock legends might take home an American Music Award in November.

The band's soundtrack for Iron Man 2 (which includes AC/DC tracks spanning 1975-2008) is nominated in the Soundtrack category. AC/DC will competing with Glee: The Music, Volume 3, Showstoppers and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse soundtrack.

But the Aussies aren't the only rockers up for an American Music Award. Muse, Phoenix and Vampire Weekend are all nominated for Favorite Artist in the Alternative Rock category, and mainstream rockers Train will vie for Favorite Band, Duo or Group against The Black Eyed Peas and Lady Antebellum. - more on this story
