Dream Theater Pick New Drummer

. (Rock AAA) Dream Theater have chosen a replacement for drummer Mike Portnoy, who sensationally quit the band earlier this year.

The prog metal outfit will name their latest member soon, and begin recording a new album in January.

Meanwhile, Portnoy has revealed that his departure from the band he formed and named left him "heartbroken." But he feels he had no choice because the outfit were experiencing advanced symptoms of burnout � with one member refusing to spend any time backstage with the others. -
