Models Star James Freud Commits Suicide
. Models were already established when Freud joined in the early-'80s. In their 1986 heyday the band scored two US top 30 hits "Out of Mind, Out of Sight" and "Cold Fever" - before breaking up in 1988. A series of well-received reunions took place during the 2000s, while Freud released two autobiographies, I Am the Voice Left from Drinking in 2002 and I Am the Voice Left from Rehab in 2007. In confirming Freud's passing, Mushroom Records founder Michael Gudinski said: "James' battle with alcoholism has been well chronicled. His two books on his recovery and five years sobriety were bestsellers and gave a lot of people who were suffering the same affliction comfort and hope. Unfortunately, James has succumbed to his disease and taken his own life." - more on this story Gibson.com is an official news provider for the Day in Rock. Preview and Purchase Models CDs |
