Deftones Confirmed for Jimmy Kimmel and Weenie Roast

. Deftones have just confirmed an appearance on the outdoor stage of Jimmy Kimmel Live on ABC TV on Friday, June 4. The show will air at 12:05AM PST / EST and at 11:05PM CT. Check local listings for details.

Also just announced, Deftones have been added to the line-up of the annual KROQ Weenie Roast at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Irvine, CA on the following day, Saturday June 5.

DEFTONES 6th studio album, DIAMOND EYES has entered the Billboard Top 200 Album Charts at No 6 upon release selling over 62,000 albums during its first week.

DIAMOND EYES was produced by Nick Raskulinecz (Alice in Chains, Coheed & Cambria, Foo Fighters) and recorded in Los Angeles, CA. The band recorded the album after their best friend and bassist Chi Cheng sustained a debilitating brain injury from a car accident in November of 2008.

"After Chi's accident, it would have been easy for us to make a sad record," says singer and guitarist Chino Moreno. "But really, this is an optimistic record."

MySpace.com recently premiered a brand-new video for lead single "Diamond Eyes," which was shot in Los Angeles and directed by Roboshobo (Metallica, Mastodon, B-52's). Prior to hitting the road on BlackDiamondSkye with Alice in Chains and Mastodon, Deftones will play a string of U.S. shows, followed by dates overseas.
