Riot Prevents Courtney Love Comeback Show
. Basically Love was prevented from leaving her home due to a destruction party at a near by abandoned mansion. The 'Night of Mayhem party organized on Facebook by squatters who were ordered out of the mansion by court order, turned into a riot when "hundreds of drunken revellers turned up at the address," according to the Daily Mail, who put the total tally at 2,000 people. Classic Rock reports that Hole were supposed to play "two songs at Proud Gallery in Camden, their first gig" since Courtney Love resurrected the Hole moniker. But Love was a no-show, she explained on Twitter: "There was, as you'll read tomorrow in the London papers, a massive riot tonight outside my house, the cops wouldn't let me leave." - You can read about the riot and see pictures here Preview and Purchase Courtney Love CDs |
