Watch Paul McCartney Pay Tribute To John Lennon
. McCartney began by dueting a cappella with Fallon on the song "Scrambled Eggs," which is an early version of "Yesterday," in which McCartney used the words "scrambled eggs/Oh baby how I love your legs" as placeholders to help him remember the song's ingenious melody. McCartney and Fallon also provided the song with some additional food-inspired lyrics regarding waffle fries and vegetarian-friendly tofu wings. Next came a performance of "Here Today," the John Lennon tribute song that McCartney included on his 1982 album Tug of War. This week marks the 30th anniversary of Lennon's murder. Of the song, McCartney said just beforehand, "This is like a song that's a conversation we never had. I always say to people, 'If you want to say to someone you love them, tell them now,' because there may come a point when it's too late and you think 'I wish you said that.'"
