Slipknot Announce Live Return

. (Gibson) Slipknot will return to the stage in the middle of next year to headline Europe's Sonisphere festival � the same festival which this year saw the unprecedented "Big Four" thrash lineup of Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer and Anthrax.

It will be Slipknot's first run of shows without founding member Paul Gray, who passed away earlier this year.

In a statement, the band said: "We're looking forward to spending our summer in Europe. This tour is about us and our fans. It's about celebrating the life of our brother, Paul, and his legacy. The door is neither open nor closed. This tour is about burning down that door. See you this summer." - more on this story
