(Gibson) Rock and Roll Hall of Famer and former Van Halen singer Sammy Hagar is putting the finishing touches on his autobiography, according to the Marin Independent Journal. Titled Red: My Uncensored Life as a Rocker, the book is due next year on HarperCollins.

"The book's basically done, but the editors want me to go deeper in a couple of areas," he said. "They said, 'There were problems in Van Halen? Well, what kind of problems?' The way I've written this book is that I'm just telling the stories, from childhood until now. It's humorous in places, there are sad things, inspirational things."

In addition to his work with Chickenfoot, Hagar's also been involved in a new film. Go There Once, Be There Twice is a documentary celebrating the 21st anniversary of Hagar's Cabo Wabo Cantina in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. The film, which will premiere December 11 in Mill Valley, California, shows the history of the establishment, but also showcases Hagar's look over the past couple of decades. - more on this story
