Steven Tyler Angers Aerosmith With American Idol Deal
. Bryan Wawzenek of Gibson.com reports: Joe Perry told the Boston Herald that bandmate Steven Tyler will be a judge on the next season of American Idol. "We're told it's a done deal," the Aerosmith guitarist said. The claim backs up what Tyler's recent comment to press, that his plans include "recording an album and [I'm] probably going to be a judge on American Idol." The frontman then said, "I'm doing it. What do you think? I'm doing it." more SleazeRoxx expands on the Gibson report and we learn that Joe Perry is apparently not very happy about this news and how he found out about it. Quoting from the same Boston Herald interview: "I found out on the internet like the rest of the world... I mean, this is no small thing." Perry said. "I mean, after working with me for 40 years, he couldn't tell me about this... Why so secretive? We're told it's a done deal. If Steven is committed to a TV show, that kind of affects the rest of us. We'd like to plan our lives, ya know?" more -
