Bret Michaels In Critical Condition After Suffering Brain Hemorrhage
. People.com first reported on Friday that Michaels, 47, suffered a brain hemorrhage, with an anonymous source telling them, "After several CAT scans, MRIs and an angiogram, [doctors] decided to keep Michaels in the ICU and are running several tests to determine the cause." The source said, "[It] will be touch and go for the next few days while he is under intense observation." The Associated Press confirmed with Michaels' publicist that the star did suffer a brain hemorrhage and is in critical condition. Joann Mignano told AP that tests are being conducted and that no further information was available. Bret Michaels was rushed to hospital after suffering from an excruciating headache which doctors said was due to bleeding at the base of his brain stem, according to Jam!. This is the second time this month that Michaels has been rushed to the hospital. Last week he had an emergency appendectomy in San Antonio, where he was set to take the stage for a solo concert. Aside from fronting Poison, Michaels is also known as a reality TV star from his Vh1 "Rock of Love" and he is a contestant in the current season of "The Celebrity Apprentice".
