Deluxe Avatar Soundtrack Announced
. Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment's North American Blu-ray/DVD release of Avatar follows on April 22nd. Composed and conducted by James Horner, "Avatar: Music From The Motion Picture" has received an array of prestigious honors, including an Oscar-nomination in the "Music (Original Score)" category, as well as Golden Globe nominations for "Best Original Score" and "Best Original Song � Motion Picture." The album is highlighted by Avatar's end title song, "I See You (Theme From Avatar)," performed by multiple Grammy Award-nominated singer Leona Lewis, with lyrics by Simon Franglen, Kuk Harrell, and James Horner, and music by Horner and Franglen, the same team behind Titanic's Academy Award-winning score and theme song, "My Heart Will Go On." One of the world's most prolific and celebrated film composers, James Horner has earned two Academy Awards and two Golden Globe Awards for his music from James Cameron's Titanic � including "Best Original Score" and "Best Original Song" (for "My Heart Will Go On"). He has also received eight additional Academy Award nominations, eight additional Golden Globe nods, and six Grammy Awards, including "Song of the Year" in both 1987 (for An American Tail's "Somewhere Out There") and 1998 (for Titanic's "My Heart Will Go On").
