Eskamon Debut Single Released
. "Fine Objects" is the result of the pair's unique take on sonic exploration and the manipulation of field recordings. From the onset, the two went out with a recorder, gathering sounds from around the house, yard and studio. Material recorded out of the studio included sounds from a parking garage elevator, a broken harp and the droning tones from a discarded piano. These were combined with more home-centric sounds to form the central theme to the song. Musician, programmer, recording artist, beatsmith, dance floor commander, composer, sound designer, bad ass motherf*cker. Amon Tobin is all of these things but most of all a forward thinker. Pushing forward and never looking back has always been his focus. This is what gets him up in the morning and what keeps him up late into night. Regarded as one of the foremost influential "experimental" electronic artists of the past decade, he has released numerous singles and seven major studio albums under the mighty London-based Ninja Tune. Brendan Angelides is a San Francisco based electronic music producer who records and performs live as Eskmo. In the past five years he's released over a dozen singles and EPs while performing throughout North America and Europe. In the past two years his multi-genre compositions have been released on influential labels including Warp Records and Planet Mu, while also remixing works by diverse artists such as Bibio, Spor, STS9 and Bar9. The digital release is set for an April 5th worldwide release date and the pair plans on giving out a free WAV sample pack of all the sounds created for the track directly from www.eskamon.com Click here to read today's full Day in Pop report Preview and Purchase Eskamon CDs |
