A decision made by a departing member yesterday has forced the band to relinquish our spot on the bill. We are beyond disappointed. Sometime between sound check and set time last night in Denver, CO, our guitarist Greg Russell decided to book a flight and leave the tour without alerting anyone in the band of his intentions.
The fact that he decided that his issues were more important than the fans, friends, band, crew, agents, club owners, promoters, record labels, sponsors, press, Skinlab, and all the local support acts is something that we can't even begin to understand or condone. The four remaining members of Mower looked into every possible replacement option to continue on the tour, but none of those options would have been viable in time.
The good news is that we will have a replacement ready in time for our upcoming tour in November. Mower has been through this type of thing before and although it is unsettling, we intend to move through it and continue with our plans to tour as much as possible supporting our new release, 'Make It A Double.' Thanks for your patience while we regroup and prepare for November's 'Holiday Hate Tour' with Psychostick and Straight Line Stitch.
