(antiMusic) Smashing Pumpkins had this news about their recent charity auction and upcoming concert: The bids are in, and we are happy to announce that the sale of original Smashing Pumpkins memorabilia raised over $11,000.00 for Laura Masura. The lucky winners Joshua Schneps and Michael Branz were the highest bidders on the bass guitar and drum set, respectively.

The whole Pumpkins crew is thrilled that thebidders not only got some cool merchandise but managed to make a huge difference in the life of our good friend in the process. Thanks to you both! We can't wait to present the money to Laura. You guys rock!

And don't forget: you can still be a part of the good vibe by coming out to the benefit show on November 8th at the Echoplex, the proceeds from which are also going straight to Laura. Come down to check out Billy's performance with The Backward Clock Society, along with that of Happy Stars (Brian Young from Fountains of Wayne, Posies and Joe Skyward from the Posies), Tim Rutili (Red Red Meat, Califone), The Pulsars, and The Pity Party. - There's still time to grab some tickets, so hit up TicketWeb if you want to contribute to this great cause!
