(PR) Social Networking and music streaming site Kerchoonz.com announces an agreement with Europe's largest independent music label group, Beggars Group. The deal will allow users of Kerchoonz free access to approximately 20,000 tracks from Beggars' significant catalogue.

Beggars Group represents the labels XL Recordings, Rough Trade, Matador, and 4AD and whose acts include a diverse selection of award-winning artists such as Grammy award winner Adele and The Strokes.

"This deal will allow us to provide an even broader selection of great independent music for all music lovers," says Indiana Gregg, co-founder of Kerchoonz. "We are honored to be working with the Beggars Group and look forward to do our part to help grow their digital business."

The agreement with the label group represents a major boost to Kerchoonz growing catalogue of independent music. The Beggars Group catalogue will be available on demand and for free through Kerchoonz ad-funded model that allows labels and musicians to be paid for their media streams. The deal includes music from all European-based labels and artists. Fans will be able to stream and build music playlists and interact with the artists through the Kerchoonz.com social networking portal.

"We're committed to making our catalogue available through as wide a range of services as possible," says Simon Wheeler, director of Beggars. "Kerchoonz was constructed with the artists' rights in mind and they are exactly the kind of company which the industry should support."
