Iron Maiden Movie Hitting Theatres This Spring

. (Billboard) Iron Maiden will release its first feature-length film to cinemas around the world on April 21. Entitled "Iron Maiden: Flight 666," the documentary-style film follows the heavy metal stalwarts on their Somewhere Back in Time world tour in February and March of 2008, which saw them play to sold-out stadiums in Asia, Australia and North, Central and South America.

Award-winning Canadian documentary-makers Banger Productions accompanied the band through the tour and were given unprecedented access on and off the stage for "Iron Maiden: Flight 666."

Included alongside live performance footage is behind the scenes antics from the ground to the air, where the band flew on their own customized Boeing 757 airliner, piloted almost entirely by lead singer Bruce Dickinson. - more on this story
