Here they are with today's song: Surrender- Lyrically, this song explores self-introspection.ironically, this track inspires a great deal of questions from attendees of our live shows. Bobbie's answer is simple, "it's about looking into the mirror and making that reflection no longer an enemy. Reaching beyond yourself to help another see that anyone can start a war within."
As with the track "Home," we wanted this song to have a universal appeal and message.
We therefore kept it a straight-ahead pop rock song under five minutes. On the CD version we bridged it with a dark instrumental track named "Golgotha," which was named after the place in which Jesus Christ was crucified. We wanted to give the sense of duality between light and dark. Where "Surrender" was a story of self-exploration and redemption, "Golgotha" was the extreme opposite.the breakdown of understanding and universal Love leading to the ultimate iconic image of cruelty and spiritual destruction.
