(PR) The 5th Annual McDowell Mountain Music Festival lineup has now been secured for 2008. Performances include international and national acts Blues Traveler, Gov't Mule, The John Butler Trio, The Wailers, JJ Grey & MOFRO, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals and others, as well as four local bands from Phoenix and Flagstaff.

"This year we have music coming in from all over the world," said Heather Rogers, event manager of the McDowell Mountain Music Festival. "We've got classic American rock 'n' roll, Jamaican reggae, sounds of South Africa and Aussie rocker John Butler. Music is a universal language, it's important to experience and support the diversity in the industry."

Tickets for the 5th Annual McDowell Mountain Music Festival (MMMF), Arizona's premier non-profit music festival, are on sale now via Ticketmaster.com. First tier advanced ticket prices range from $40 for general admission to $150 for VIP day passes. A VIP pass includes food, 12 drink coupons, shade, poser deck, couch seating, tables and a VIP concert t-shirt. Ticket pricing will increase beginning March 11.

The 2008 McDowell Mountain Music Festival will be held April 25 and 26 at WestWorld Polo Grounds in Scottsdale, hosting 13 bands over two days on the Main Stage and featuring an Artist's Marketplace, Silent Auction, Kids Zone, Drum Circle and Creamy Radio Acoustic Stage. Other attractions include a Friday "Hooky Happy Hour" from 2pm 7pm at The Gathering Place lounge tent. Sponsored by Fender, "Hooky Happy Hour" includes food and drink specials, acoustical music performances in the lounge area and is open to the public. RV parking and tent camping is also available.

One hundred percent of the proceeds benefit local children's charities. Beneficiaries for 2008 include Phoenix Day and Golden Gate Community Center.
