(Wind-Up) Four subsidiaries of Wind-up Entertainment and the South African rock band Civil Twilight have entered in to agreements. The band's future recordings will be released by Wind-up Records. Additionally, the sale of all Civil Twilight merchandise at on-line, retail, and touring points of sale will be handled by Wind-up Entertainment's Pronto Merch. The band's publishing will be administered by the company's Sakyamuni Music Publishing, LLC. Civil Twilight has also entered in to an agreement with Wind-up Artist Development Corporation, regarding touring and appearances.

The South African migrs formed their band during childhood, relocating to Los Angeles in August, 2005. Once on the ground in the U.S., brothers Steve (singer/bass/piano) and Andrew McKellar (guitar), and Richard Wouters (drums) established a significant following on the west coast. Civil Twilight performances have become a hot ticket. The band's notoriety has grown organically sharing the stage with acts that have included The Fratellis, Taj Mahal, The Bravery, Amos Lee, Los Lobos and others over the recent past. The trio recently relocated to Nashville, and has begun touring extensively east of the Mississippi, building legend as they have in South Africa and Southern California.

Civil Twilight's immersive repertoire is becoming a favorite among music licensing executives and television producers with early musical placements usually reserved to event recordings. Their track "Human" appeared on the post-Super Bowl special episode of House on Fox and on CBS' Without a Trace. Additionally, "Letters From The Sky" was featured as the audio-bed for the season finale promo of Terminator: The Sara Connor Chronicles on FOX.

Wind-up Entertainment President Ed Vetri shared, "Civil Twilight are one of those special artists, that even in these very early days of development, possess all the critical skills and core talents needed to have a long term meaningful career. Powerful songwriting, combined with a passionate live show, and a commitment to hard work will lead to success on a significant level. The band's DIY video 'Letters from the Sky' immediately bonds the viewer with the artist on an emotional level that should garner committed, long term fans. Wind-up is proud to have Civil Twilight as part of the Family and is looking forward to launching the artist's career under our all encompassing developing artist structure."

Civil Twilight's Steve McKellar offered, "We're stoked to be joining the Wind-up family. As a band, it is so refreshing to meet a group of people that are serious and dedicated to developing artists' careers rather than one hit wonders. The fact that the label articulated an interest in us being who we are, as opposed to shaping us in to something we're not, is a rare thing these days."
