The Spectrum of John Mellencamp will feature four decades of Mellencamp's music, including rare performances hand-picked from his personal archives and some of the artists who have influenced his career.
The veteran musician will share stories and personal insights about the many classic songs that have defined his 30-year career in music, as well as give a personal introduction to select tracks off his latest album, Life, Death, Love and Freedom, which debuted this week in the top 10 on the Billboard 200.
"I think it's a lot of fun making this channel for SIRIUS listeners," John Mellencamp said. "I'm happy to be part of the future."
The Spectrum of John Mellencamp continues SIRIUS' tradition of creating exclusive limited run artist-branded channels dedicated to iconic musicians. In addition to the current broadcast of Bruce Springsteen's E Street Radio, SIRIUS has previously offered limited run channels such as Rolling Stones Radio, The Who Channel, Radio R.E.M., Coldplay Nation, ABBA Radio, Neil Diamond Radio, Jay-Z Nation, Garth Brooks Radio and Duran Duran's Red Carpet Radio among many others.
